Gary was first elected to Glendora City Council in 2015 and he and his wife Kathy have lived in Glendora since 1981. They relocated to California from Ohio in 1978 and took a few years before making Glendora their home.
Gary is currently retired from being a Small Business Owner of Southland Properties located in the Village since 1987. He is a past President of the Rotary Club of Glendora, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, current President of the Glendora Coordinating Council, a member of the Glendora Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a founding member of the Glendora Village Business Improvement District and was President of Glendora Youth Basketball for 20 years as well as a coach for 35 years.
Gary currently represents the City of Glendora on a variety of Committees and Boards throughout the State including serving as a Board Member of Foothill Transit, Southern California Association of Governments, San Gabriel Valley Regional Housing Trust and the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. Gary also sits on the following committees as a Member; the League of California Cities Housing and Economic Development Committee, Contract Cities Legislative Committee, San Gabriel Council of Governments Water Committee, the Upper San Gabriel River Water Association,
Gary & Kathy have 2 sons, Travis and Daniel. Travis and his wife Karrie have one son, Jacob; while Daniel and Lori have two children, Tessa & Derek. They both moved back after college to call Glendora home.
