Model Trains for the Holidays
Saturday, December 8th,
10AM - 4PM
A holiday tradition returns to Glendora! Walk through history and experience the amazingly detailed models of freight and passenger trains from the 1940’s to today!
Group 160 NTRAK Club has shared their award-winning displays throughout the western United States at conventions and hobby shows, in locations including LA Fairplex and Fillmore Railfest. On Friday, December 8 (10-4 PM) and Saturday, Dec 9 (10 – 3PM) Glendorans will be able to view and experience these displays up close at the Glendora Public Library’s Bidwell Forum. Younger viewers will get the chance to personally operate the club's 2’ X 3’ mini layout!
The full display includes the club’s transportable N scale layout (20’ X 36’) which will include three mainline tracks and an operating staging yard. New for this year: See the working tornado module along with its recently re-engineered fireworks factory module utilizing unique Arduino and optics technology.
This is a terrific post-Glendora Christmas Parade activity for the whole family. No reservations needed.
The Model Trains for the Holidays is made possible by the Glendora Public Library, GPL Friends Foundation, and donors like you.
