Fri, December 10 – Sat, December 11, in the Library’s Bidwell Forum.*
Just in time for the Holidays!
Enjoy local modular model train club's—Group 160 NTRAK Club—return to Bidwell Forum for two days in December to share and operate their club layout along with two smaller operating model train displays.
The Bidwell Forum will house the Club’s transportable N scale layout (16’ X 28’) which will include three mainline tracks and an operating staging yard. Younger visitors will have an opportunity to personally operate our 2’ X 3’ mini layout. Learn about another format of scale model railroading called Ttrak which involves 12” X 14” table top modules (and is a great way to get introduced to the hobby).
Founded in the early 1990’s Group 160 has shared its award-winning layout/display and its enthusiasm for the hobby throughout the western United States at conventions, train and hobby trade shows, and presentations involving such venues as the Los Angeles Downtown Public Library, the Orange County Transit Authority’s Anaheim Transportation Complex, LA Fairplex, and the Fillmore Railfest. The public will be seeing a variety of prototypic freight and passenger trains operating on the layout dating from the 1940’s to present day.
*Face covering is required for anyone two years or older at all times while inside the Library and Bidwell Forum. This program is subject to change based on current LA County Department of Public Health Guidelines and other safety needs.
