Backgammon  

Did you know?

Backgammon is one of the oldest board games in the world, dating back 5,000 years ago to ancient Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq). The term Backgammon is said to have been derived in 1645 from either the Saxon baec (back) gamen (game) or the Welsh bac or bach (little) gammon or cammaun (battle).

Chess  

Did you know?

The earliest form of Chess originated from the Gupta empire of India, in the 7^th Century AD. The pieces come from the primary military elements of that time: the infantry, the elephants, the cavalry and the chariots. The first Chess tournament was held in London in 1851.

Bocce

Did you know?

Bocce is thought to have been developed by soldiers during the time of the Roman Empire.  A traditional Bocce court is ninety feet long, but backyard Bocce can be enjoyed in any grass or sand setting.

Dominoes

Did you know?

Dominoes originated in China in the 12^th or 13^th Century. The pieces represent the values that can be seen on dice. There are many variations of the game that are based on the two main types, including blocking and scoring games.

Loteria

Did you know?

Traditional Loteria was introduced to Mexico in 1769 from Spain. Initially played by the colonial Mexican elite, it eventually was embraced by all social classes. The most recognized version of Loteria is the “Don Clemente Gallo” rendition introduced into Mexico in 1887 by the French businessman Don Clemente Jacques.
